George Washington Memorial Park is a mutual non-profit, non-sectarian Association dedicated to providing comfort to one another as well as to all relatives and visitors who look to us. We believe a cemetery should not be a place of gloom but should reverently express joyful gratitude for the gift of life on earth and joyful hope for the rewards that may await us hereafter. Our Association was founded in 1939 as a non-profit organization and operates under the strict charter of the State of New Jersey and the New Jersey Cemetery Board. We cherish the land that forms our cemetery. It is land closely related to our country’s origin and history. George Washington frequented this area during the Revolutionary War. We cordially invite visitors as well as members to share in the tranquility of our park. It is, in a turbulent world, a haven which provides relief from pressures and helps to restore a person’s scale of values.
